In 1814, Ivan Krylov, a poet, wrote something called “The Inquisitive Man, ” a story of a man who goes to a museum and notices all the tiny things but fails to notice an elephant. Since 1814 the phrase has been surviving, thriving, and growing in popularity. We have mastered the art of not addressing the elephant in the room. And currently, we have elephants right in the middle of the drawing room. The elephants are painful, they make us cry, and mourn, they trouble us, and make us miserable. But we won’t address them, we just won’t!
The Most Negative Book of Positivity is just addressing all the elephants in the room. These elephants are the destructive emotions that human beings go through in their daily lives but we refuse to deal with them; let alone fight them. Anger, greed, death, loss, failure, rejection, grief, grudge, we don’t talk about them, we feel the shame, and the pain every day but no one addresses the elephant. This book will do it.
This is a new curriculum. The new syllabus of life. The new chapter that needs a mention in every book, in every class. Because this is the time to address the elephant.
At Aao Khilayein (now Yakeen Foundation), our aim is to help the underpriviledged through our actions and programs.
